![]() ![]() ![]() It’s yet another example of the world and its characters behaving in a way that makes sense: Ouzen knows a Red Whistle this far down would raise too many questions. Just when I think Ouzen’s likely to just toss them out a window, she goes and does something like give them Blue Whistles, even if they’re only temporary ( 7:35). Is Ouzen referring to Reg when she said, “If only I had left you there, that kid would’ve come with me” ( 6:05)? What did you think of Ouzen’s expression in this scene? Wasn’t her blacker than usual terrifying? Riko must have nerves of steel to withstand that gaze. ![]() Ouzen is a seriously intimidating figure! How does Riko withstand the intensity of that gaze? Capture from the Amazon Prime stream. Or is that just the way she talks? Ouzen and the White Whistle Makes me curious to know what she has against Riko, and whether it’s something as simple as Riko’s birth interrupting an expedition. She called Riko a “brat” in the last episode she calls her “filthy” in this episode ( 3:01). They’re ink black I don’t even see a pupil. Part of the effect is because of her eyes. ![]() It’s like she doesn’t say anything or even move without careful consideration. Even Habo didn’t seem as tall when we met him in episode 4! Though she’s less stocky than he was, she comes across, at least to me, as more imposing - and certainly more calculating. Ouzen’s really, really tall, isn’t she ( 2:39)? It looks like she’s more than twice Riko’s height. I like how this show stays true to the world it created. Capture from the Amazon Prime stream.Įven ascending from the platform beneath the Seeker Camp up to the camp itself induces the Curse of the Abyss in Riko ( 2:10). Here, Riko feels sick from the Curse of the Abyss, even though she just as to ascend a little to the Seeker Camp. This show’s superb attention to detail continues to impress me. ![]()
